Say it With Bingo Cards

It should not be a surprise if you find a wide, wide range of bingo patterns being played at several bingo halls today. After all, the gambling game of bingo is not such a new thing. This gambling game has been played for a very long time now, but it still keeps on evolving. One way to observe this evolution is to take a look at the different bingo patterns played nowadays.

Here are some examples of those patterns:

Number 4 - apparently, not only letters were used for bingo patterns but numbers as well, and the number 4 pattern is a very good example for it. This pattern is easy to remember because almost all of us know how a number four looks like. In this pattern, gambling players must cover all the numbers belonging to the fourth row and also the first three numbers at the second row. The free space does not need to be covered, and serves as the connector of these lines, thus, completing the figure which resembles the number 4.

Number 10 - whoever said that patterns in bingo with number elements should be limited to single digits got it all wrong. Just take the number 10 pattern for example. This two digit number is easy to fit into a bingo card because the number 1 is a very slim pattern. How can gambling players form the number 10 pattern? It's simple. Gambling players need to cover all the numbers belonging to the first, middle and last columns plus the first and final numbers of the fourth column.

Hi - Why restrict ourselves to one letter of the alphabet per pattern when we can create words instead? One such popular pattern with a complete word on it is the hi pattern. The pattern consists of a big letter H and a small letter i. To form this pattern, gambling players should be able to cover all the numbers at the first and middle columns and the second number of the middle row for the big H part. For the small I, gambling players must cover the first number and the last three ones of the final column.

Double Bingo - forming a straight line is common in bingo games, but to make it more challenging, gambling enthusiasts have invented the double bingo pattern. To win, a gambling player must be the first one to complete two intersecting lines with the numbers on his bingo card. This means that the gambling players must cover all the numbers in one row, and also all the numbers belonging to a single column.
